Water Access Saves Time and Property
When a fire breaks out, every minute counts, and so does every drop of water in areas with no town water.
One of the biggest challenges for rural fire brigades isn’t always the flames themselves, but getting water to where it’s needed fast. That’s why we’re asking for your help to make our community even safer.
If you have a water tank on your property, you can make a huge difference simply by fitting a 50 mm cam-lock connection to one of your outlets. This is the same style of fitting used on our fire trucks. It allows us to connect quickly, draw water efficiently, and move on to the next task without delay.
In an emergency, we may need to access your tank to refill appliances or protect nearby properties. Please don’t worry, we only ever take what’s needed to control the fire, and we’ll replace the water afterwards. Having this simple fitting installed means we can save precious time when seconds really do matter.
If you’re able to help, consider adding a 50 mm male cam-lock fitting and keeping the area around the tank clear for vehicle access. You can contact us for advice on installation or where to find compatible fittings, it’s a small job that could make a big difference.
Our community’s strength lies in the support we give one another. By preparing now, you’re not only helping your local brigade, you’re helping protect your neighbours, your property, and the environment we all share.
